A PARADOX: : something (such as a situation) that consists of two opposite things and that seems impossible but is actually true or possible : someone who does two things that seem to be opposite to each other or who has qualities that are opposite : a statement that seems to say two opposite things but that may be true
This is my favorite mysterious little English word simply because the more I pursue this ambition, the more I can’t help to notice that it possesses many traits to that of a paradox. Mashing together cardio AND toning concurrently. –So visually simplistic, yet so physically challenging. So basic on the surface, yet rather complex in its roots…this list continues to grow. I have spent more time with this particular thought than any other within this method. It’s a trait that continues to intrigue me, and not to mention, the craziest one as well.
The word, “Polykinetics” literally means, “many movements”, even though, I barely move my body positioning at all. –I chose the name “Polykinetics” since it is after all, a collaboration of many different influences, strategies, and keynotes from many different types and aspects of athletics, fitness methods, and basic psychology….all united and then reduced to their simplest forms resulting in one hell of an innovative and pragmatic way to get to bettered health….sounds complex, but again, the physicality is quite the opposite. Most importantly as outlandish as this all sounds, it’s all supported by basic scientific facts. Simplicity is key in Polykinetics.
–No one understands how I got the extent of my physical results doing something like Polykinetics. Most just scoff in disbelief, or label my results as impossible, and this makes me smile when I hear or read it because it distinctively tells me that I have stumbled on an exercise form that many have wanted, but no one could really find out exactly how to pull it off. Even myself, I believe it’s not so much what you do, but how you do that makes the world of difference. This method is a great argument for that figure of speech. The moves I use, everyone knows, and my strategy on how I use it…well no one knows…..yet!
I had one single insane goal in mind when I decided to go forth in designing this method: Excuse-proof…a distinct trait that doesn’t exactly have me winning any popularity contests with personal trainers or fitness fanatics, but yes….a completely ironclad excuse-proof way to get fit and stay that way. –A method that would (in theory) disintegrate every progress-blocking, time-wasting, exhausted excuse I’ve ever used or ever heard…..because for me, ONLY then, would I even start giving a damn about working out regularly and getting fit. –I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would actually succeed in doing just that, and the best part about “excuse-proof” is that it immediately opened the idea to a potentially “demographically universal fitness method”….but wait….isn’t every person’s body different? Exactly! ……Ooh!….
Which gives us another piece of the paradox puzzle!
My favorite paradox-like trait, or just simply a crude irony is that Polykinetics, a physical fitness method, was created by someone who society wouldn’t ever perceive as being physically fit. Someone who creates the “perfect” method in theory, who’s absolutely imperfect in reality.
Irony and Innovation at their finest.
